Safeguarding your personal information

Some pages on our website request and collect information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you personally. Information you provide to Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church may be tabulated for statistical purposes, and those results may be provided to others but except as otherwise identified in this Policy, you will never be individually identified in those results. The data may then be used to inform you of events and activities in which we think you may have an interest, or it may be used to note opportunities to support the work of Lewis Memorial Methodist Church. We may also use the data to evaluate our programs and design future offerings.

As part of Lewis Memorial Chapel United Methodist Church operations, it and its affiliated entities may collect various forms of data from individuals and local churches, including, without limitation, names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, birthdates, employment histories, financial information and other sensitive information. The Missouri Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church website, however, will only collect personal information that you knowingly and voluntarily provide. Although the information collected is used primarily for purposes specified on the submission page, we may add that information to our records and use it to enhance our future contact with you.

Neither Lewis Memorial Chapel United Methodist Church nor any of its affiliated entities, will share or distribute any of the data owned or used by Lewis Memorial Chapel or its affiliated entities, with other organizations or individuals, other than employee’s on a need-to- know basis, except as required by law or as is required to be printed (in hard copy or fixed electronic form such as PDF) in the Annual Conference’s annually published Journal. The Missouri Annual Conference may, however, share some limited data (local church contact information, including the current pastor, and the names of current local church officers) in electronic spreadsheet format with the Missouri United Methodist Foundation and Central Methodist University.

When you provide us with personal information, we will normally respond to your inquiry, or request. We may also contact you to provide information about activities, programs, or special events we believe may interest you. When we send you such information by email, you will always have an immediate opportunity to modify the frequency of or decline any further such communication.

Although we may provide aggregate data for the purposes of reporting and/or compliance with nonprofit industry standards or government requirements, your personal information will not be identifiable in such data, except as otherwise described in this Policy. Except as outlined in this Policy, Lewis Memorial Chapel Untied Methodist Church does not rent, sell, lend or otherwise provide mailing lists, telephone numbers, mailing addresses or email addresses to other individuals or organizations.
